Your Wild Reflection begins with a private 1:1 conversation about your personality, values, energy, and inner landscape. From there, I search for the wild animal that reflects you — not as a mascot, but as a mirror.

The final piece is printed, matted, written and labelled — delivered as a personal work of photographic art.

How your Wild Reflection is created

  1. Send an inquiry below about your commissioned piece.

  2. You will be sent a booking link to schedule a 1:1 meeting with Alyx via ZOOM.

  3. The 45 minute meeting will be to discuss YOU through a series of ‘get to know you’ questions and personality topics, so Alyx can identify key traits and markers that will help her find your wild animal reflection, your wild guide, the Wilder You.

  4. Alyx will then send you an email with the preliminary quote breakdown for size and approximate length of time to deliver. She will update you on progress bi-weekly, depending on the season.

  5. Once your reflection has been taken, Alyx will update you throughout the process. Editing, writing and printing will be the final stages before mailing directly to you.

A note on timing:

Because each Wild Reflection is created through real wildlife photography, exact timelines can vary by season, weather, animal behaviour, and the nature of the piece. Most commissions begin with an estimated one-month timeline, but some may take longer. I’ll keep you updated along the way.

    1. A private 45-minute Wild Reflection 1:1 session

  • Wild Reflection commissions are custom creative work, created specifically for each client. Because of the personalized nature of the reflection process, animal archetype selection, artwork creation, digital delivery, and printed piece, payments are final and non-refundable once the commission process has begun.

    If an issue arises with the mailed print, please reach out within 7 days of delivery so I can make it right.

  • Yes, of course! The standard print is an 8x10 photo in a 11x14 frame. You can request:

    • 11x14 photo (16x20 frame)

    • 16x20 (20x24 frame)

    • Any custom sizing, 8x10 and above

    Your wild reflection is designed to be a surprise once it is completed - that’s the magic ✨

    • Alyx will meet with you and discuss your personality traits, in which she will venture out into the world in search of a ‘match’. This is supposed to be a fun, exploratory, ‘wildlike’ investigation of an animal that matches who you are and how you present in the world.

  • The short answer - this is not a random wildlife print 🌲✨

    The session helps me understand how you move through the world: your instincts, strengths, contradictions, softness, intensity, humour, courage, and inner weather.

    That conversation gives the portrait its meaning. It helps me create a piece that feels like a reflection of you, and not just an animal you like.

    It’s important you know that whenever doubt comes calling, you can always go outside and find the wilder version of you. The being who is flying, swimming, running or howling right alongside you. That you can do anything you put your mind to, even if it feels a little…wild.
